Great Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Tours is one of the most spectacular natural events on Earth, drawing visitors from around the world to witness the incredible journey of over 1.5 million wildebeest, along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles. This migration is a vital part of the Serengeti ecosystem.
Occurring annually as these animals follow the rains and the fresh grass that sprouts after them. It’s a breathtaking cycle of survival, danger, and rebirth. The Great Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Tours follows a clockwise path across the vast plains of the Serengeti in Tanzania and into the Masai Mara in Kenya.
The journey begins in the southern Great Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Tours Serengeti , where the wildebeest give birth to thousands of calves during the calving season, typically between January and February. This area, rich in nutrients, provides the perfect environment for new life. However, it also attracts predators, making it a crucial time for survival.
As the dry season approaches, the herds begin their northward trek in search of better grazing lands. Along the way, they face numerous challenges, including river crossings that are some of the most dramatic and dangerous points of the Great Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Tours . The Mara River crossing, in particular, is famous for the sheer number of wildebeest that brave crocodile-infested waters, making it a highlight of the migration for those fortunate enough to witness it.
Great Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Tours is not only a natural wonder but also a key event for the Serengeti’s predators. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas follow the herds, hunting the weak or injured. This migration sustains the delicate balance of life in the Serengeti, ensuring the survival of a wide range of species.
Each year, the Great Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Tours captivates wildlife lovers and adventurers who come to experience the raw beauty and intense drama of this epic journey, where millions of animals move as one in the timeless dance of survival. Also Read about Best time to visit Tanzania

EXCELLENTBased on 145 reviewsVerifiedfalu k2024-06-16Perfect, Amazing, Outstanding! Mustafa was great to work with. He was very accommodating with everything. Our flight was delayed to Arusha and we were connected with him via whatsapp. He had Amani our driver ready at the Arusha airport when we landed. Mustafa sent home cooked meal for our lunch for the first day and it was very thoughtful of him. Delicious meal it was. Amani was amazing. He always worried about our 86 yr old mom who was with us during the safari. He made every effort to find the big 5 animals during our safari. We had a great time during our safari. We would highly recommend Mustafa and Amani.VerifiedTony Busuttil2024-06-15Super Safari The safaris organised by Bobby and very ably guided by Amani were brilliant. We went on the camping Safari for 4 days (3 nights) - Lake Maynara, Serengeti, N’gorongoro Crater. We saw so many animals! We got super lucky and even saw two cheetahs and two leopards up close. The tents were very comfortable and the food was good (we had the vegetarian option) prepared by our cook Miraj. Our tour guide Amani was friendly and very knowledgeable; he was very patient and explained many things about the park and animals, and answered so many of our questions. Sometimes it was a bit scary hearing the lions and buffalos fairly close to our tents, but we felt very safe on the whole and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience camping in the wild. I greatly recommend this company, the communication and organization was very easy with the owner of the company and the price was very fair. Thanks to all for the experience.VerifiedVenture586057342292024-03-02Amazing safaris in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Manyara We had an unforgettable week-long safari in Tanzania. Our guide Amani was great and really went out of his way to show us everything we wanted. We were lucky enough to even see rare rhinos, a leopard eating an antelope in the treetop, and also two beautiful cheetahs. Likewise, the cook did his job well and adapted the food to our requirements - one member of the group was a vegetarian. I hope to return one day and have this great experience again. Thank you!VerifiedNienke d2024-02-26Amazing safari We had an amazing experience! Well-arranged trips in Feb. 2023 and Jan. 2024 to several National Parks - from Arusha to Serengeti and Ngorongoro (repeating the same trip of one of us in 2014). Excellent guides, as well as the cook. As university zoologists, we enjoyed high diversity of animals, plants, landscapes, and night voices of savanna in tents. Great experience and pleasure. Fun for bird photography (despite not ornitologists), we asked 'STOP!!!' hundred times a day... the guides were not only patient, but actively helped us find even the smallest birds around... In result - about 140 bird species photographed in 2023, and 100 new additions in 2024 - both during 8-day trips...!
