DAY TO DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Nalemuru gate to Simba Camp
After a briefing with our climb managers the day before, the guide and a mountain support crew will arrive at the hotel in the morning in order to meet you and hold another briefin. Then you will travel by vehicle to Kilimanjaro National Park’s northern entrance: Nalemuru Gate (2,020 m). After the quick formality of acquiring climbing permits and registering with the search and rescue service, the group will start trekking up to Simba Camp (2,625 m). Your trek this day will be moderate and take you through coniferous forest up Kilimanjaro’s northern slope. Remember not to hurry and always keep a comfortable pace. By the time you reach the camp, our professional mountain crew will prepare everything necessary, put tents and cook dinner for you.
Day 2: Simba Camp to Second Cave Camp
Early in the morning after breakfast, the group will depart from Simba Camp to start trekking towards your second high altitude camp: Second Cave Camp (3,480 m). This route is rather easy and will only take around 3 hours, so when you reach the camp you will still have ample time to rest and explore the surrounding area. After lunch you will have a couple hours to rest, followed by an acclimatization hike in the direction of Kikilewa Camp (3,630 m) with a 100-meter gain in altitude, after which you will hike back down to Second Cave Camp.
Day 3: Second Cave Camp to Kikilewa Camp
After breakfast you will begin trekking to Kikilewa Camp (3,630 m), where you can see Kibo Volcano at its finest (barring cloudy weather). This will be a relief day, so after lunch you will have time to sleep before the next trekking towards Mawenzi Tarn Camp. In the evening after dinner the guide will check health conditions of the each person of the group and give the necessary instructions for tomorrow’s trekking.
Day 4: Kikilewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp
Early wakeup, breakfast and the start of trekking to Mawenzi Tarn Camp, which is situated at the foot of Mawenzi Volcano, Kilimanjaro’s second summit. When you reach the camp, you will have lunch and a two-hour rest, after which there will be an acclimatization hike towards Mawenzi Volcano with a 200-meter gain in altitude, followed by a hike back down to Mawenzi Tarn Camp, where you will have dinner in
the evening.
Day 5: Mawenzi Tarn Camp to Kibo Camp
This day will be spent trekking towards Kibo Summit Camp (4,700 m). The landscape will change significantly to give way to a rocky semidesert. The actual trekking is not very difficult; just remember to stick with an appropriate pace to keep up your strength for the trekking to Kilimanjaro’s summit. When you reach the camp, we recommend you sleep well, avoid strenuous activity, and drink as much as you can, because that very night you will be ascending Uhuru Peak (5,895 m).
Day 6: Uhuru Peak and descend to Horombo Camp
Night departure from Kibo Camp (4,700 m) and the start of your trekking to Kilimanjaro’s summit: Uhuru peak (5,895 m). The trekking will be moderate from a physical standpoint, but the altitude presents a much more serious problem. For the entire length of the trekking each pair of climbers will be accompanied by their own guide, who will be monitoring your stamina and mental resolve.
After your successful ascent to Uhuru Peak, you can descend to the nearest glacier if desired. Then you will return to Kibo Camp and after a two-hour rest continue your descent to Horombo Camp (3,720 m).
Day 7: Horombo Camp to Marangu Gate
You will be offered a warm breakfast in the morning, after which we will head for the Kilimanjaro National Park’s exit: Marangu Gate (1,860 m). After your descent the whole group will gather to congratulate you, and then you will have the chance to share your opinions on the trip in the guestbook. Lastly, we will present you with your commemorative certificates (in our office) and provide you a transfer back to the hotel.
The day after you can rest in the hotel and transfer to the airport. (If applicable).

Jan U2025-04-19Verified Great experience in Tanzania Gotfrey is the best guide we could have met. Thanks to his experience and great orientation on the roads in the parks, we always saw and experienced almost everything there is to see and experience on a safari. He is a great driver, thanks to him we drove many roads that other drivers did not dare to go on or got stuck in. Other guides often followed his trail, we were the first to see most of the animals. From the closest possible distance we saw beautiful places, many animals that are rare to come across, such as leopard, cheetah, caracal, serval, critically endangered black rhinoceros or lions hunting and mating. He told us a lot of interesting information about animals, trees and the entire Tanzanian ecosystem and answered all our questions. We experienced a great adventure with him, always a safe and relaxing ride full of adrenaline. He can solve any problem situation. He helped us arrange everything we needed, such as a SIM card, exchanging money and visiting souvenir shops or riding a tuk-tuk. He was always able to adapt the program to our requirements and was willing to communicate about everything. For example, we wanted to go on a safari early in the morning while it was still dark and as they say in Tanzania, "Hakuna matata"=no problem. He is also a good person and fun to be with. We can only fully recommend him! Jana S2025-03-20Verified Safari experience of a lifetime Our group of 7 people had an unforgettable trip to the Tanzanian parks of Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Bobby camping safaris. From the first pick-up from Kilimanjaro airport we were in the reliable hands of our guide Amani. He took us through the crazy traffic of the city and the challenging terrain in the parks very safely and expertly. Thanks to his constant care and effort we saw everything we could remember and much more. Elephant herds and lions passing in close proximity to our car, or taking gentle care of its babies and partners, elegant giraffes, hippos, zebras and wildebeest in a herd - all beautifully calm and up close. Thanks to his experience we had the opportunity to see a cheetah and a leopard, which not everyone is lucky enough to do, and we also had the opportunity to observe rhinos. Amani very modestly and kindly fulfills all the wishes of his clients before they even have time to say them and is a very experienced guide who knows a lot about the parks and life in them.On the Serengeti plains and on the edge of the Ngorngoro crater, we stayed in beautiful and comfortable tents, where we felt completely surrounded by nature and were safely guarded by Maasai warriors. When you add delicious food made from local ingredients to this, you get an experience of a lifetime. As someone who has repeatedly traveled through Tanzania and other East African countries on my own, or with other local guides, I know that the smooth running of such events is not at all self-evident and I would like to thank you very much for the care you took with our expedition. Jan C2025-03-16Verified Amazing, reliable, professional Truly amazing experience. Thanks to our guide Amani we saw the big 5 and many more animals. The whole trip was without a single problem. Thank you!!! Barbora P2025-02-10Verified Beautiful safari experience and great service We were more than happy with the experience that the Bobby team prepared for us. We were in Serengeti, Tarangire, by the waterfalls, lake Natron and Ngorongoro. It was absolutely beautiful. We saw the start of migration, which was breathtaking. We were always safe and sound thanks to Amani and his buddy Emanuel. Amani drove very well and showed us the best he could, with the respect to the nature. We could stop whenever we wanted, to take a picture or just to admire the beauty. Also the second guide Gotfrie was amazing!! It was fun with these three guys, you wouldn't regret being with them. We had always fresh and delicious food. Amani took us around Arusha for the last day, he showed us interesting places and facts. Even when it's another culture, he gave us a secure feeling. When we were leaving, I really left a piece of my heart there. My friends and I really recommend these guys, they will do anything for you. Thank you so so much! Egle R2025-02-05Verified Fantastic trip We had a fantastic trip in Tanzania 🇹🇿We were very happy with Bobby Camping!❤️It fitted in well with our travel needs. We are well-travelled and independent, but Murtaza was able to offer a very interesting and tailor-made schedule within our time frame, which exactly matched our personal wishes.👌We managed to visit Moshi and Arusha at the foot of Kilimanjaro, Materuni waterfall, surrounded by a moist jungle and coffee plantation, the warm springs of Kikuletwa. The highlights were the safari in the national parks (Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro, Ndutu and Serengeti). We were lucky to see the Big 5 of Africa game animals: lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and buffalo. It also was amazing to face thousands of animals during the Migration in their calving season. 🐘🐆🦁🦏🦬Thanks for our guide and driver Godrey.😍🤗🙏Also, in deep memory remais the guest in various tribes as Maasai, Hadzabe (Bushmen), Blacksmiths, as well the shores of Lake Victoria and the taste of Tilapia 😊🐟I am very thankful to Murtaza who was on the top of the things and organized our tour perfectly well. My husband and I decided to go on a safari for our honeymoon, which has been our dream so far. We chose Bobby Camping Safari based on a recommendation and haven't regretted a second of it. Dear Amani accompanied us on our safari for 6 days and it was a great experience! Amani was able to pass on a lot of his knowledge to us and gave us an unforgettable safari. He was always kind and attentive, as the great chef Kitoi was, who also accompanied us on our adventure. Great team! The food was always fresh and really delicious! All in all, the safari was really a great life experience, we saw a lot of animals and it was simply indescribably beautiful. We can really recommend Bobby Camping Safari with a clear conscience and would camp again next time. At first it took a bit of getting used to for me personally because I had never been camping before, but I would do it again because it was just a great experience and you can really see the animals up close in their nature. Although the company is called "Bobby camping", the owner Bobby organized us with a luxurious safari which was requested by us.On our first day we were taken to the Lake Manyara National park where we were surrounded by many different wild animals and Amani, our guide, with his wide knowledge could answer all of our questions. For the weekend, Bobby booked a beautiful resort where we were spoiled and pampered. The Safari continued to Ngorogoro with its beautiful surroundings and unforgettable experience. The following 3 nights were spent in the Serengeti National Park with its own beauty and unbelievable feeling of real Safari. Amani tried his best to show us the big 5 and we even got to see many more wild animals. Every detail of our Safari was planned excellent by Bobby camping and we all felt safe and well taken care off. We want to thank to Bobby Camping and Amani for this unforgettable pleasant luxurious and safe experience and recommend them 100%!!
